This short film was shot on Ektachrome Super 8mm reversal stock with a Leicina Super movie camera equipped with an Intervalometer, and then transferred into digital video format before editing and compositing with modern software. Manufactured in the seventies by the world renown Leica Camera company, the Leicina Super Camera & RT-1 Controller was the world’s first fully electronic Super 8mm camera system. It features adjustable shutter speeds and automatic exposure control, giving it an incredible flexibility and the ability to capture images in very low light. The footage for this film was captured at several different settings over a period of several years and still edited together seamlessly. An example of the incredible tools and creative possibilities for sound design and film montage available to small gauge filmmakers in the digital age.
